Set goals

They say, “Set goals.” “Make a plan.” “Write a task list so you can tick them off as you complete them.”

Which all sounds great, right? Except when I get to the end of the day, I look at what I didn’t complete and feel like a failure.

A failure because I didn’t achieve the goal. Didn’t stick to the plan. Didn’t get all my tasks done.

Go With the Flow

Other theys say, “Don’t burden yourself with a plan.” “Go with the flow.” “At the end of the day, record your accomplishments.”

Which all sounds great, right? Except when I get to the end of the day, I struggle to remember and identify what I’ve accomplished.

I’m not convinced that playing Daw of Man for 8 hours is really worth writing down or watching 4 episodes of Big Bang Theory followed by 3 episodes of Young Sheldon.

Overthinking is Paralyzing Me

So here I am at the start of a new day. Do I dress, go for a long walk, and then shower? Or shower, dress, and then go for a long walk?

Should I write the list first and then tick them off? Or just hope I can remember that I did these small things at the end of the day?
